As part of efforts to strengthen economic and investment cooperation relations between Algeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Mr. Omar REKKACHE, received on Sunday 21 June 2026, at the Agency’s headquarters, the Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Mr. Marko KUBATLIJA, and the Vice-President of the Bosnian Employers’ Organization “Strategic Business Organization” (SBO), Ms. Edita TURKOVIC.
This visit takes place within the framework of the participation of a high-level Bosnian delegation, comprising a number of business leaders and investors, in the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair, scheduled to be held from 22 to 27 June 2026 in Algiers.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the mandates of both agencies and their respective roles in promoting and facilitating investment in their countries, as well as in accompanying investment projects until they enter the operational phase.
On this occasion, the Director General of the Agency presented Algeria’s business climate and the reforms undertaken to enhance investment attractiveness, while highlighting the investment potential and opportunities available, particularly in the sectors of mining, agriculture and strategic crops, industry, energy, and renewable energies.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of investment promotion. They agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding setting out the cooperation mechanisms between the two parties, particularly with regard to the exchange of expertise and best practices in investment promotion, as well as the sharing of information on available investment opportunities in both countries.
