The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) received, on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, a delegation of Saudi businessmen led by Mr. Ali Ben Abdelaziz Al Harish, Vice-President of the Algerian-Saudi Business Council, on the sidelines of their participation in the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair.

During the meeting, AAPI officials delivered a presentation on Algeria’s investment framework and the reforms undertaken by the public authorities to improve the business climate and enhance the attractiveness of the national economy. The presentation also highlighted the advantages and guarantees provided under the Investment Law, as well as the investment opportunities available across various economic sectors, particularly agriculture, industry, energy and renewable energies, mining, and tourism.

Detailed explanations were also provided regarding the missions of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency and the new prerogatives of its one-stop shops as an effective mechanism for the implementation of investment projects and the support of investors. The meeting further addressed the facilitation measures and simplified procedures made available through the investor’s digital platform, particularly those related to economic land access, as well as the opportunities offered by the Partnership Exchange platform to connect investors with project holders.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and perspectives on the prospects for developing Algerian-Saudi economic partnerships and strengthening the presence of Saudi investments in Algeria. Various questions raised by the Saudi delegation members regarding the process of establishing and expanding investment projects, financing mechanisms, profit repatriation procedures, as well as the legal guarantees granted to foreign investors and the reforms that have enhanced the stability and clarity of Algeria’s investment regulatory framework, were addressed.
