The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Mr. Omar REKKACHE, received on Sunday 21 June 2026, at the Agency’s headquarters, a high-level delegation from the Indian group “JINDAL SAW Ltd”, one of the world’s leading producers of iron and steel pipes, as part of efforts to explore investment opportunities and industrial partnership in Algeria.
The delegation was headed by the Group’s Chairman, Mr. Prithvi Raj Jindal, in the presence of the Ambassador of India to Algeria, Ms. Swati Vijay Kulkarni, along with several senior executives of the Group.
During the meeting, the Indian delegation presented an investment project for the establishment of an industrial complex in Algeria dedicated to the production of steel pipes of various diameters and sizes. The project aims to meet the needs of the national market and strengthen Algeria’s capacities in downstream industries related to the energy sector, water resources, and infrastructure.
During the working session, various clarifications were provided regarding Algeria’s investment climate, the procedures governing the implementation of investment projects, as well as the advantages and incentives offered under the investment legal framework.
