Call for Contributions

As part of its ongoing efforts aiming at enhancing the investment climate and foster discussions around the challenges and opportunities related to investment, the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) plans to launch a quarterly review. This review will highlight various aspects of investment while showcasing the Agency’s achievements and its central role in improving the investment environment.

The objectives of this initiative are as follows:

  • Highlight the initiatives and achievements of the Agency in enhancing the attractiveness of investments by showcasing success stories of projects supported by the Agency and providing a clear vision of the efforts made to improve services and streamline procedures for investors.
  • Improve the investment climate by publishing studies and analytical articles on the challenges and opportunities in the national and international investment environment, fostering debate on the necessary reforms and policies to make the investment climate more attractive, and proposing innovative solutions as well as successful international practices to strengthen the investment environment.
  • Strengthen internal and external communication by creating a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences between the Agency and experts in the field, while building investor confidence through clarifying the Agency’s vision and strategy. This initiative will also help promote a positive image of the Agency as a hub for strategic thinking and innovation in investment.

The Agency’s Directorate General invites all staff, representatives of administrations at the one-stop shops, as well as experts, specialists, and scholars interested in the topic to contribute with articles and studies on the following themes:

  1. Legal security and its role in improving the investment climate.
  2. Strategies to improve Algeria’s investment climate: Lessons from international experiences.
  3. Analyzing investment dynamics in Algeria: Opportunities and challenges.
  4. The importance of economic governance in building trust between investors and state institutions.
  5. Economic land management as a key success factor for investment projects.
  6. Developing industrial zones: How to enhance infrastructures to attract investors.
  7. Priority sectors and investment potential (renewable energy, agriculture, agro-industries, pharmaceuticals, etc.).
  8. Performance indicators in investment project management.
  9. Impact of investments on local development and job creation.
  10. Investment sustainability: Towards a balance between profitability and social responsibility.
  11. Corporate social responsibility: Investing in society and the environment.
  12. Effects of international trade agreements on investment flows to Algeria.
  13. The role of universities and research centers in promoting entrepreneurship and investment.
  14. The importance of artificial intelligence and data analytics in supporting investment decisions.
  15. Digital platforms for investors: Challenges and perspectives.
  16. Global transformations and their impact on foreign direct investment flows.
  17. The role of bilateral and multilateral partnerships in strengthening investment flows.

Contributions on other topics related to investment promotion are also welcome.

Participation Guidelines:

  • Contributions must be original and unpublished.
  • Submissions should adhere to scientific rigor and methodology.
  • Articles can be submitted in Arabic, English, or French.
  • Use Word format, Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.15 line spacing and 2 cm margins.
  • Articles should not exceed 5,000 words.

Submission Deadline: Contributions, specifying the author’s name and credentials, should be sent to revue.dz-invest@aapi.dz no later than Thursday, February 27, 2025.
