Upon the invitation of Mr. Kemal MOULA, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, Mr. Omar REKKACHE, Director General of the Agency, accompanied the economic mission organized by the Council to Montreal, Canada, from the 7th to the 13th of July.
During this mission, which included 60 economic operators from public and private institutions, an economic forum attended by 170 businessmen was organized, during which the Director General delivered a speech in which he touched on a number of reforms carried out by our country in the framework of improving the business climate, as well as Algeria’s qualifications and capabilities, in addition to the incentives granted within the framework of the investment law.
The Director General also attended several programmed activities, including the important meeting that brought the mission together with economic operators from the Algerian diaspora in Canada, where many of them expressed their desire to invest in their homeland, where they were given full explanations about the steps to be followed in order to embody these intentions.
One of the important meetings was also the participation of the Director General, along with members of the Office of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, in a meeting with officials of “Investissement Québec”.
The meeting discussed ways of cooperation in order to attract viable investments for the national economy, especially in the mining and agriculture sector, in which Canada has great experience.
